Life after election day

I found this Breakpoint op ed instructive.

I've been thinking about the prospects of life under an all-liberal government,
and nothing sounds more distasteful.  I have family members who will be seriously
impacted (negatively) by an increase in taxation, and I shudder to think what "spreading
the wealth around" entails.

However, it occurs to me that God won't say on November 5th, "Well, whadda
ya know?  _________________ was elected president."  IOW, he won't be surprised
nor caught off guard.  He is still Sovereign God, ruling over all the universe.
He has seen us through struggles before, and He's not about to leave us now.

There are lessons to be learned from all this.

1.  We, as sincere and genuine followers of Christ, should realize that the ultimate
answers to all the ultimate questions of life are not answerable nor solvable by
government.

2.  Our country suffers from spiritual issues that require spiritual, not governmental
solutions.  What I'm saying is that Jesus is the answer.

3.  Women will still be dealing with issues having to do with life. We have an obligation,
and a huge opportunity, to be proponents for life.

4.  Whatever lies ahead is not our ultimate destiny.  Read to the end of the Book.
"And I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first
earth had passed away."

5.  It's not over!
